Matteo Cainer has always been involved as a curator, from 2004 when he was Assistant Director to Kurt W. Forster for the 9th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia, METAMORPH, to the curator of the London Architecture Biennale CHANGE in 2006 with the show the World in One City - A Sketch for London. In 2010 he created and directed the ‘Pavillon Spéciale’ and currently directs an architectural event called ‘Architecture Whispers' which he conceived in 2013. He was also the curator of the 7th edition of the Dark Side Club in Venezia during the vernissage days of the Venice Architecture Biennale in May 2018 and is currently one of the founding members of the A_IF the Architecture International Forum. In April 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, he decides to launch a new curatorial project: 'Alphabet for the Future'.
